Trip Advisor Ratings

Hi everyone.

I often get asked why we only support one hotel group in Mauritius. Last week I went onto Trip Advisor and had a look at one of our Competitors and what the various ratings said. Please bear in mind that these rating are not of our making but rather of customers that have been & gone to Mauritius & stayed at the various Hotels. Trip Advisor is well regarded as the foremost site in terms of rating various properties & providers of service. This week we have a look at one of Beachcombers competitor's Apavou.

Apavou describe the Indian resort & La Plantation as **** lux & the Ambre as **** Superior. Beachcomber describe Le Mauricia & Le Canonnier as **** & Le Victoria as **** Superior. So let's compare Le Vic to The Indian Resort & La Plantation.

Le Victoria has the following on Trip Advisor - 90% Recommended
115 Reviews of which:
62 Excellent = 54%
37 Very Good = 32%
8 Average = 7%
6 Poor = 5%
2 Terrible = 2%

Indian Resort - 65% Recommended (If you are not a Kite Surfer don't bother)
201 Reviews of which:
52 Excellent = 26% (Less than Half Le Vic!)
76 Very Good = 38%
22 Average = 11%
19 Poor = 9%
32 Terrible = 16% (800% more than Le Vic!)

La Plantation - 56% Recommended (The worst in its category on the Island)
147 Reviews of which:
43 Excellent = 29% (Nearly half Le Vic)
39 Very Good = 27%
20 Average = 14%
17 Poor = 12%
28 Terrible = 19% (950% worse than Le Vic.

So I guess there you have it folks, another compelling reason why we believe that we have partnered with the best that the island has to offer. Don't let a few grand spoil your dream holiday! Naturally the same is true for the others where the Ambre comes a distant third to Le Canonnier & Le Mauricia. Ambre 64% recommended, Le Mauricia 80% Recommended, Le Canonnier 87% recommended.
