The Honest Jonny | BLOG
Honest Jonny has taken a leave of BLOG absence AGAIN. So we have handed the blogging over to Jo (The Sunshine Seeker) who has just returned from an educational trip with Beachcomber, read all about her antics over the next few weeks.
Jo's Jol... Part 1
Lounging on the white pristine beaches in Mauritius whilst sipping a Pina Colada under a tropical palm tree is what we have all come to expect in Mauritius and that is exactly what I experienced on my first day of the Educational I have just been on. But that most definitely not all you can enjoy on this amazing island.
On our first full day of our trip with Beachcomber we were lucky enough to board the "Harry Wilson", a catamaran that was setting sale for a perfect sunset. On board this rather large vessel we headed off into the sunset all the time being served numerous variations of drinks and snacks. Aside from the stunning setting, the atmosphere on board will really put you in that typical tropical mood which sets the tone for the rest of the holiday.
The other activity that we were lucky enough to experience was Quad Biking. Although this could be considered as a fairly common activity for South African's, the route that you will be taking on is out of this world. After being given strict safety instructions and a lesson how to use the automatic vehicle we set off into a tropical "Jungle". With Fruit Bats and Buck passing us by regularly we ended up at a Waterfall in the middle of this forest. We were unfortunately under time constraints but normally you would be able to experience a quick dip in this natural pool. Although safety on these vehicles is always a concern the guides are very knowledgeably of just how fast beginners should be going and much to my dismay made sure that we obeyed this.
More of my Mauritius antics soon..
Till Next Week...
