Bling Bling Diamonds make me Sing

Wowee... back to the land of living!! Really... do I have to?

I have just experienced an absolutely hypnotic 10 days in a land of pure paradise. Not only was the holiday by far one of the most spectacular times of my life, I came home grinning from ear to ear with a new sparkly addition to my finger. My every wish & fantasy was fulfilled in every way possible!

I don't even know where to begin. It's difficult trying to explain the feelings and emotions I had when everything felt so surreal, that even I didn't know myself if it was all really happening!! But I guess looking through the thousands of photos we took, it really was me.

The ‘moment' took place on day 5 of our trip. We had arrived at Shandrani already feeling so chilled and content after spending 4 nights at the spectacular Le Victoria, to be welcomed by the most exquisite surroundings. The staff were all so warm & inviting, the resort was amazing and all in all- we already knew that we wouldn't want to ever leave!

After spending a highly stressed (!) day lounging beside the pool with cocktails in hand, we got ourselves dolled up and headed out for supper. Me, being my usual disorientated and ‘unaware of directions' person EVER, hadn't even caught on to the fact that I had been led off in the opposite direction to where we were supposed to be dining on that particular evening.

We were in fact then led, by our own personal waiter, out on to the beach (located just in front of Le Sirius restaurant) to our own private candlelit dinner for two, amongst the tranquil setting of an exquisite Mauritian sunset and calmness of the warm turquoise ocean. By now my legs were like jelly and my head was swimming. I had a feeling I knew what was coming...

Needless to say I said YES, of course! (who wouldn't after the most romantic proposal that every girl dreams of) After sipping on a glass of champagne and feeling a little more composed, we feasted on the most spectacular 3 course meal including lobster, scallops, fillet steak and much more!

It was the best night of my life, on the best holiday of my life! On awaking every morning, before opening the curtains to reveal the overlooking views of the luscious white beaches below- I had to sneak a little look at the ring on my finger to remind myself that it was really happening and it wasn't all a dream...

Thank you to the staff at Beachtag and to all the staff at Le Victoria & Shandrani Resort for helping make my engagement holiday truly memorable. Hopefully I can convince my ‘Fiance' that we need to speed up the wedding process... because I really don't think I can wait that long for a return trip to Mauritius. What better place for a honeymoon.....
