Yes we had a lovely holiday - thank you very much. We have now been to both Le Cannonier and Le Victoria and must say I do prefer Le Cannonier ..... however we did go at Christmas so it was a bit special .... All in all a good time had by all.

Yes we're back!!!
Le Canonnier was wonderful. Having stayed there 12 years ago, before it was Beachcomber, we had nicer accommodation....the family apartments are newer, and more spacious, although no sea view, and closest to the gate....ie furtherest from the restaurant, ...but not too far and no night time noise. I remember chairs on the beach being an issue last time, but not now...never a problem to find a free deck chair on one of the 3 beaches
The food was excellent and we were constantly grateful that we had opted for the all inclusive option...definitely worthwhile
I only had 3 complaints....the pillows were a bit old and smelly, but when I explained my problem to the room cleaner, he located me a fresher smelling one
Some days the towels were a bit threadbare, and the beach towels issued were some times a bit on the small side
Our room was very dimly lit, with no central light. And the bedside light didn't provide enough light to read in bed. So next time I would take one of those strap on headlamps to read at night.
Apart from those few things, it was a good experience, with lovely welcoming friendly staff and beautiful gardens. We went one night to eat at le Mauricia and I was very glad that I had not stayed there. It seemed so big and concrete
Getting into Grand Bay was very easy and cheap by local bus (R5) ...about 10 minutes, The taxi cost a lot more...about R160 return. But not much to buy....a lot of cheap Chinese stuff!!!

Hi Maddy , thanks , we all had a super time . Mauritius is a wonderful place , and the people friendly and hospitable. Le Canonnier was excellent , and we would with out a doubt choose to stay there again. Service was incredible , food wonderful , and everyone so friendly and helpful

Mauritius was lovely - the weather was great (I was a bit concerned about the precipitation report you sent, but it just drizzled for a few minutes), the hotel was top notch, the food was divine and the people were very friendly. We did a few excursions (not via hotel, but organized directly with a taxi). The quality of hospitality was on the same level as Maldives... and I didn't expect that.
My only critique (and not a major one) was that the place was packed with screaming / crying toddlers especially during mealtimes. I wonder if the other Beachcomber resorts are the same, or if that's just in April?
That was only a minor niggle though. Please do email me about specials in future as we're keen to go again sometime!

Net om baie dankie te sê vir 'n onvrgeetlike vakansie. Jammer ek kom nou eers terug na jou toe maar het eers Gister begin werk. Was vanaf Mauritius saam met my man na sy ouers in Zambie.
Jou hulp en besprekings was van die beste wat ek nog gesien en beleef het. Ek het al vir 'n hele paar van my vriendinne jou besonderhede gegee om besprekings te doen.
As ons ooit weer na enige ander bestemming sal gaan sal jy beslis die besprekings doen. Selfs met ons vervoer vanaf die Lughawe na hotel het jy moeite gedoen.
Hoop 2010 is jou geseendste en gelukkigste jaar ooit.

Oh, we had a fabulous time, we were so depressed when we had to leave, the resort was lovely, We shopped like maniacs, and made so many friends, I went clubbing, and there was this 24hour shopping festival goin on, from the cocktails on the beach to the sunset dinners....we had a ball. I want to go back.
The all inclusive was definately worth it.
please keep us posted on specials in packages during the year.

We had a wonderful time and both hotels were absolutely amazing! The rooms, hotel service and luxury was truly world class! We particularly enjoyed the Le Canonnier with its beautiful settings and beaches! The food was of the highest quality and the staff so friendly!! We can't wait to revisit Mauritius and we would definitely use your services again!

Mauritius truly was magnificent and Le Canonnier is a top notch destination. Having been to Le Victoria, Shandrani and a day visit to Le Mauricia, we can truly say that Le Canonnier beats them hands down on atmosphere, entertainment, beauty, cuisine and friendly staff.
For any future wedding and honeymoon bookings we would highly recommend the wedding coordinator named Ajay at Le Canonnier. We were also impressed by the Hotel's local wedding photographer
